ILOILO- Must Know

Arrived at Robinsons International Airport (char!) I mean Iloilo International Airport from a 25 minute plane ride. Yes! You heard it right. The plane ride only took that short for some reasons. Taeng tae ata ang piloto at dinaig pa nya ang biyahe ko from Edsa Guadalupe to Greenhills na mahigit isang oras.

Anyhoo, Kudos to Cebu Pacific Air for a smooth ride.

I went straight to Robinsons Place to eat at medyo nagulat ako how lloilo looks like. This city is just so amazzzingggg!!

Taragis!

Okay. First, let me start this Iloilo Blog by telling you that this city is like mini Manila (atleast for me) Mas maganda pa nga ang Iloilo City sa ibang part ng Manila. Pramis! This is my first time here and I was kinda amazed with the structures built all over the city. I am so impressed with how the government worked hard to achieve this. Kudos! Baw! Salute! Amen! Haduken!

The place (particularly on that pic) which is near Smallville is just superb. It looks clean and people are very disciplined. Smallville is a place where you can make walwal all through out the night. So kung may lahi kang lasenggero at maharot then its a yes place for you.

There are times na tinatanong ko ang sarili ko kung nasa Pinas ba talaga ako? The first time I saw Iloilo parang gusto ko mag retire dito someday with all honesty! I felt really belong as people here are extremely nice! Aleluya Mayor! Good Job po! 😍

As you can see on that signage- they are promoting hard for this city to be a smoke free and mind you ha even vape bawal! So medyo tago tago ako kung saan saan when vaping- mahirap na baka mahuli ako ng mga officials dito when they see me.

P.S- you can see alot of this signage everywhere! Umayos. Okay?

I rode a traysikol somewhere here. Sagot saken. Polo. And I was like? Ano po yun sa tagalog? And he said sampo. I was not offended kasi muka na ata akong Ilonggo 😂 Achieved!

P.S- this is based on my experience at lakampake!

So just so you are aware I'm heading to the famous Islas De Gigantes. But before we dig deeper on the details- I wanted to give you a heads up that Iloilo is such a beautiful place and I mean it. As an alien who grew up in Manila, truly I was so damn impressed with how everything turned out during my trip.

Solo ako ngayon mamsh and papsh! This is single life tologo! Lungkut lungkutan ako ngayon pero wapakels! Never akong kinabahan to explore this place alone- ewan ko ba feeling ko Ilonggo na rin ako dahil panay ang jeep ko dito. People here can all speak tagalog fluently! with no ilonggo language in between- ambabait nila at kulang na lang ihatid ka nila kung saan ka pupunta.

Going back to our original hanash- The first thing you need to do when you go solo in traveling is to always research! Wag tungaw ha, and because I did it correctly and thoroughly I just arrived here at Ceres Terminal in Tagbak, Iloilo. Mind you nag jeep ako teh!

You need to ride Carles (basa basa din ng plakard at baka kung saan ka mapadpad) to get to Bancal where you can start your journey going to the Islas De Gigantes. This is a 3-4 hour bus ride. Still depends as there is a limit on the speed. Imagine a 60kph limit for all Ceres buses? Well- I guess that's how disciplined they are at wala kang choice kundi matulog sa biyahe at namnamin ang music sa bus.

Dont worry- hindi ka magigising sa mga sumisigaw ng mani, puto bumbong, mineral water at kung ano ano pang fudang dahil walag nagtitinda along the way. Surprisingly! So I assure you na masarap ang tulog mo.

So this is a kunwari natutulog selfie pose:

After 3 and half hour bus ride I finally arrived at Chateu. Gow!

So these are your choices when you plan to do island hopping:

2. Pwede kang umalis ng hapon sa Ceres Terminal at pagdating mo sa Carles ay matulog ka ng gabi para fresh na fresh ka pag gising mo the next day(which I did) at hindi ka nagmamadali. No hassle indeed!

There are cheap pension houses in Carles. I got mine for 600 petot for 24 hours stay na teh. Ayaw pa?

The good thing about you checking in to pension houses?

I was dead tired this time at talagang natulog na ako agad agad to get ready for tomorrow. So we will see what Islas De Gigantes can offer.

You have to understand that this is a DIY trip meaning do-it-yourself beh.

Thing is, the morning I woke up, I immediately ran to the owner of pension house and asked her to help me join any group. So after 20minute na pakikipag bakbakan sa kanila they finally found a group of mandirigma na pwede akong isabak. Pak! Finally!

So ito na nga, this is what the boat looks like- this can fit up to 40 people at may pa mantel sila sa ulunan namin, This is another 1 hour boat ride going to Islas De Gigantes.

Sus!

For Tour Package you may contact Gigantes Island Tours and Services and I assure you a smooth trip while you enjoy your Gigantes escapade.

P.S- if by any chance you were on my travel pics and you were offended by my caption please bear in mind that it was all because of my sense of humor. Please dont take it seriously like you were attacked personally. I didnt use any profanity and foul language to begin with so I am hoping you all go with the flow, Nonetheless, I still respect all of you! Baw!

This is at Cabugay Gamay- Please take note that I have not uploaded all videos here dahil nasa facebook naman na lahat- if you want to watch the videos Ive shared just visit this ILOILO link:  https://www.facebook.com/richmond.saguiafin/posts/10211976398985713

Papatalo ba ako sa shot na ganito? Hell no! Lol

Just what I always tell you people- please limit your shots sa mga peymus na spot tulad nito. Mahaba ang pila dito so please be patient kapag nag aantay. Wag parang taeng tae!

This time besh, napaka init na naman!

Pagandahan tayong lahat. 😂

No need for a detailed caption dahil nakaka umay! Profile pic ko to beh for 2months. Lakas talaga maka payat ng black no?

I just took the time to stare at this view. This is what life should be dapat. Kalmang kalma lang diba?

Sabi nga nila, when youre stressed or burnt out.

This is still at Cabugao Gamay. Wag oa. Mamaya na tayo lumipat ng isla.

To break the ice, this is where you can fall in line para i achieve ang shot mo just like the pic Ive uploaded prior.

Yung umiihi or yung nag paskil nan? Enlighten me.

If you're looking for a contact person for your tour paki zoom in nyo na lang yung banner sa left part baka makatulong sa inyo. Wag yung bawal umihi dito. Wag sabog.

The tour guide that we have in standby named Junjun (wag green minded) is a very professional photographer! I didnt tell him to do some extra kemerut sabi ko lang pa picture sa mga bato bato na yan but when I've checked my phone, bang! Very Instagrammable! Good Job Kuya Junjun!

Okay?

This is at Antonia Island.

To be quite frank with you. This island is just normal. I mean normal in a way that it is just a beach. Nothing is really special. Gets?

You can swim here if you wanted to. There are stores as well kung gusto nyo mag snack and soda. You can also do jetski here and any extra activities that you can think of. Have fun!

Madami syang paandar na pasok na pasok sa banga just like this shot diba? Kudos Kuya Junjun!

Kung nabobored kayo sa Antonia Island you can do anything here. Dont let your boredom stops you- this is a 5 feet jump shot habang umiihi pose.

The sand here is not so so pino. Dont compare this to Boracay dahil magkaiba sila ng ganda. In a brighter perspective, Cabugao Gamay is a must visit island when you plan your trip to Iloilo.

Please! Mahiya kayo.

This is at Sandbar Bantique

Don't expect na sobrang gandang sand bar here. Lumiit na ang sandbar dahil nasira na ng malalaking alon, Sayang lang that we weren't able to experience the sandbar as it was before.

Nonetheless, this place is still okay. We stayed here for 30minutes. Please bear in mind that for every island- the limit is up until 30 minutes max- Due to the weather, kailangan din naming magmadali dahil malakas na ang alon kapag hapon na. So, sagarin nyo na ang pag photo shoot dito just like what you can see behind me.

Ever wonder, why Islas De Gigantes is kinda famous now? Why just now? According to our tour guide, these islands were discovered by an afam in 2013 after Yolanda hit the Visayas region.

Locals found out years back that they can make profit out of this so they started promoting the islands, and with the help of government officials of Carles- it is now known to the public and was promoted by bloggers all over the net!

I am not sure if this is hundred percent true as I only based it from what I've heard so please correct us if we were wrong. Atleast we got something to ponder on diba?

P.S- ang hot ko talaga no?

Just to add- there are no afams here! Puros locals!

Who says you cant travel alone?

I dont know- there are times mas masarap mag travel mag isa.

Being single is an achievement for me. It gives me peace of mind, peace of heart, peace of soul, (patay lang?) and less drama.

Of the 5 islands that we've been to, I could wholeheartedly say that this is my favorite! This is at Tangke Lagoon and its just near Gigantes Sur kung saan kami nag lunch.

Luckily, this spot is open as there are times that this is closed due to habagat. Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit sarado during those times, probably nawawala ang lagoon? I dont know!

I'm at awe when I saw this. No words can explain how I felt to see such beautiful lagoon in lloilo.

This is one of kuya Jun Jun's shots. Madami syang hanash sa buhay. Marami syang arte at kahibangan sa pagpapicture talaga.

My phone camera was at the formed rocks. Tama ba? Gusto ko syang itumba dahil mahirap tong i achieve. Pang irita lang.

This picture will show you how kapal ang face ni ate para pahabain ang pila dito lol.

So kung gusto mong binyagan ang spot na to mag jump shot ka dyan and you will make a history here at Gigantes.

The people Ive met during my solo trip here.

It was a pleasure meeting you all in Iloilo. I hope to see you guys all soon! Pasensya na medyo nagmamadali ako this time. Take care po!

P.S- Unfortunately, Naiwan ako ng last trip ng bus and van sa Carles. Kailangan ko pang pumunta sa isang terminal that Ive paid 250 pesos sa traysikol day. Isipin nyo yan? Ang bus from Carles to Iloilo City is 170 pesos lang. Nampepe diba? Lesson learned. Wag ng maligo after island hopping. Direcho na agad sa bus or van. Kebs na kahit malagkit ang singit 😂

May point.

Thank you very much Iloilo, you are a beauty and I'm so damn hot! 😂😁

OSAKA & KYOTO- Must Know

Arrived at Kansai International Airport from a 4 hour journey sa himpapawid. This is NOT the only passenger airport of Japan. Please make your research thoroughly bago kayo lumamyerda sa bansang ito dahil baka kung saan ka na naman mapadpad.

You have to understand that WE Filipinos need a VISA to enter the land of the rising sun and if you haven't read my blog on how to get a Japan Visa then huling huli ka na sa ganap.

Here is the link of the requirements at simulan mo na ang kalbaryo.

Japan Requirements:

https://www.facebook.com/biyahenirichmond/posts/224974011423401

There have been some cases that Filipinos are being rejected to be granted a VISA. Kung bakit? Pwes!

Basta ang pagkakatanda ko, the officer just stared at me for five seconds and then pak! Tatak agad ang passport! Welcome to Japan na ora orada!!

Anyhoo- the exchange rate to date is at 0.47 cents to 1 yen. Oh para sa mga shunga. Lets do the math. Below is the example for your perusal.

Mineral Water Price:

Formula:

98 yen (X) 0.47 cents = 46.06 pesos

This map will tell you where on earth I am.

Japan's local time is one hour ahead sa Pilipinas. Gets? For me lang ha, you have to get a visa first before you book a ticket when you plan to go here.

Anyhoo- My trip for 10 days will be at Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya and Nagano and more info will be tackled in the next few slides, but before we proceed, below are the airports and identify which is which. Depende kung saan mo balak lumamyerda at magbida bida.

Osaka- Kansai International Airport
Nagoya- Chubu International Aiport
Tokyo- Narita International Airport

Lezgo!

This video was taken at Tennoji Station in OSAKA. Sus!

Anyways- this is what rush hour in Japan looks like.

Just like my TOKYO blog- not sure if you have gone through with that album but here is the link of my trip in TOKYO way way back.

TOKYO blog:

https://www.facebook.com/biyahenirichmond/posts/233439680576834

Going back tayo ha- The train system in JAPAN is very nakaka haggard! You need to transfer station to station if need be and you need to follow the color scheme to get to your destination. In short- ligaw ang aabutin mo if you're not connected to the internet. Just like me!

You have three options to stay connected to the internet at magmaasim.

1. You can rent a pocket wifi at the airport that cost roughly around 6000-8000 yen or 3000-4000 petot for 7 days- or depende sa tagal mo dito.

2. You can just connect to wifi's sa mga train station or sa mga kalsada because there are times na may pa wifi sila dun. This is a good option sa mga taong kuripot at ayaw maglabas ng salapi.

3. You can just use your hotel's wifi diba? Ayun lang! Hindi mo maiinggit ang friends at kamag anak mo real time sa pag uupload ng pictures sa FB and Instagram. Maiinggit mo pa sila at the end of the day.

This is at OSAKA Castle.

I have to warn you- JAPAN is a photo bombers world.

Walang entrance dito. Gusto mo to diba?

Sa hindi maipaliwanag na dahilan- this is one of OSAKA's tourist spots. Ginaya ko lang din yung ibang turista- kunwari excited ako to see the castle pero deep inside, I'm like ano yan diba?

Hindi ko alam kung bahay ba yan ng mayor ng Osaka or what. I did not do my research na basta yan na yun!

P.S- Ang hot ko no?

This is still at Osaka Castle. Kumalma ka. Dito muna tayo:

This is a perfect spot para bumuka-bukaka just like what I've did! Wag na kayong mahiya pumose pose dito. Geh lang! Remember diba?

Kaya mo ba to?" 🎵🎶🎶🎵

Anyways!

Glossary of words:

Anis- genital
Daks- Malaki
Juts- Patay/ Maliit
Lumalafang- kumakain
Jumubis- tumaba

Okay na?

This is at Nagai Park still in OSAKA:

Park lang talaga to teh! Walking distance lang to from our hostel. Nadaanan ko lang talaga to nung bumibili ako ng Calpis from Family Mart, at dahil nga gusto kong ma relax, nag stay lang din ako dito ng bery light.

So ano ba yung Calpis? That is my favorite drink here! If you have read my Tokyo Blog- ayan ang ginawa kong tubig dito. Parang Yakult ang lasa! Nakaka kilig ng yagballs.

Anyways- in my experience, napaka sarap mag bike dito sa Japan.

This is at Dotonbori in OSAKA:

So mandatory na kelangan mag picture dyan? Okay! E di gow!

Just like the pictures uploaded prior- photo bombers here in Japan are super everywhere!! Daming yagit!

This is still at Dotonbori during night time.

Besh! Mas maraming yagit sa gabi! Nakakairita! Hininga to hininga, bagang to bagang, keps to keps at bayag to bayag ang crowd dito during this time.

Nandyan yung amoy kulob, amoy cabinet, amoy putok, meron pang amoy formaline! Lahat na talaga.

Anyways- Dotonbori is a big shopping district. Push!

Clear ko lang ha- given that some places in Japan is tax free- pero dont be misguided because magiging tax free lang yan if you have purchased 5000 yen above. Okay?
This is what Dotonbori looks like kapag pagabi na, Ayan na naman ang mga kampon ni satanas. Ibat ibang lahi ang masisight mo dito. United Nations indeed!

Anyways, bago ko makalimutan. Below are the possible expenses when you go here.

This is simply just a guide. Kakahiya naman sayong hindi ko ishare. These are in PHP currency na.

*Airline Ticket Round Trip- 15,000
(I guess this is a promo pa- mura na to siguro)

*Airport Tax Manila- 1620
(this is mandatory)

*Hostel Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya & Nagano- 20,000 (Osaka and Kyoto hostels are cheaper compare to Nagoya and Nagano Ken because those are hotels)

*Train/ Bus Fare/ Taxi- 13,000
(this is not a JR Pass- this is simply buses and trains fare combined)

*Food- 8,000
(tipid na tipid pa ako nito besh- 2 days akong 7-11 and Family Mart)

Universal Studio- 3900

Total: 67,520 pak!!

This is just an estimate so dont just settle dyan sa sample expenses na nilagay ko.

Gow for the gold!!

Umayos! Wag mamaru!

Which means, walang iri iri- labas agad! Effortless! Probably, because majority of the foods here are organic and fresh? I am not sure!

This is at the entrance of Universal Studio Osaka.

Oh ito ha- para sa mga hayok na hayok sa Universal Studio- you have to book your ticket in advance para hindi kayo maubusan ng slot. There are times na punuan ang booking online kaya ibook nyo na ang ticket ora orada kung gusto nyong ma experience ang amusement park na ito.

We’ve booked our ticket a week before our trip via Klook.com. The ticket per person is at 3800 petot and still depends on the website kung saan ka magbobook.

This shot was taken before the entrance which means pwede kayong magpakuha sa globo na yan kahit hindi nyo pasukin ang Universal Studio.

This is me inside the Harry Potter shumariwap.

When you go here at Universal Studio- Please dont forget to ride the Jurrasic Park Flying dinosaur. Doon nabaliw ang kaluluwa ko and its really a must ride! If you have anxiety attack, high blood, buntis, mukang buntis, mukang sabog or busog then that ride is a NO NO for that ride okay?

You have two options na magbida bida sa mga rides in here.

1. The ticket for 3500-3900 pesos is good for all rides. However, dahil nga nuknukan ng haba ng pila. The option below might work for you if you want.

2. Ticket Express- Universal Studio offers "express pass" to people na ayaw ng pumila. The express pass would be for 5000 pesos for 7 rides. This is a good option for our friends na walang magawa sa pera, Yung mga nagtatapon ng salapi, So gow na rin to experience all rides.

This is video was taken while walking heading to the famous Harry Potter area and yes! If you are a Harry Potter fan ihanda mo ang sarili mo dahil hindi ka mabibigo.

This is a proof that some people who went here are napaiyak pa just like this kababayan of ours na talagang nag ngangawa doon sa gilid ng entrance.

This is at Harry Potter Castle inside Universal Studio OSAKA.

The Harry Potter Castle you see behind me is one of Universal Studio's rides. Wag na wag nyong palalampasin ang ride na yan dahil its one of a kind. Dyan ako napulikat dahil nga bumabaliktad ang ride.

The ride is made of 3D Animation that may bring you to Hogwartz and Quiapo. Char? But seriously, this is a must try!

This is me striking a pose before leaving Universal Studio at Harry Potter area holding my kikay kit. Lol

We stayed here for half day at dahil nga hindi na kaya ng powers ko ang maglakad lakad I decided to just call it a day. Oh- dont forget to try their "BUTTER BEER" here! It is non alcoholic besh so its good for everyone.

Anywayssss- Tomorrow we will invade KYOTO so ipapahinga ko muna ang hot body ko and lets see what that place can bring to the table.

So ito na nga-arrived at Kyoto train station from a 2 hours train journey sa subway and bus combined.

Kyoto is more on historical chenelin.

You have 2 options for your train fare when you go here at JAPAN, and these options are applicable to any destination in this country. Cool?

1. You can purchase a JR Pass online or just go to any travel agency that sells it. I remember, the JR Pass for 7 days will be at 13,000 pesos. You can use that pass in any train stations and buses, except for taxi of course. In other words- wantusawa mo syang gamitin kahit saan mo gusto rumampa sa JAPAN.

2. You can simply just purchase a ticket at the ticketing machines located in almost every train stations. That ticket is loadable in the machine as well (ito ang ginawa ko dahil gusto ko lang bakit ba?

Or kung yayamanin ka e di magtaxi or rent a car ka. Rent a car would be at 20,000 yen for 3 days or at 10,000 pesos.

Wag mo pahirapan ang sarili mo. The conversion of yen against peso is just always divided by two.

Oh before I forget! Our hostel in KYOTO is just superb that it doesnt look like a hostel. We have checked in at Santiago's guesthouse and it's just few steps away from this area. We got it for 700 pesos per night lang. Ano ayaw pa ba? I-google mo na lang, that hostel is good for backpackers like me. I wanted to reiterate that it is a HOSTEL and not a HOTEL.

This is at Yasaka No Pagoda in KYOTO.

Walking distance lang talaga to teh from our hostel.

When you see this place in any social media sites you will surely know that it is in JAPAN, yes? but did you know that kalsada lang naman talaga yan? Oh yes!

There is a hidden STARBUCKS in here! Hanapin nyo na lang sya.

This is at Yamanashi.

This shot will make you realize how really hot I am. Char!

If you plan to go here, you need to prepare for a loooooong trip. This is a 5 hour journey from Nagoya via car. Hindi ko sure kung paano sa train. So wag mo akong tanungin.

This is an event that only happens every 2nd week of April- to 2nd week of May every year, and they call this the "Sakura Festival"

Of all the places in Japan that Ive been to- dito ako naging emotional ng bery light. Napakagandang tingnan si Mount Fuji from a distance. The white thingy that you see at the tip of Fugi is snow. So in short- hindi pa natutunaw ang yelo that it added more beauty sa bundok. Idagdag mo pa ang alindog ko diba? Ano pa bang hahanapin mo? 😂

Char?

P.S- ang hot ko talaga no?
This is still at Yamanashi on a very ka-pokpokang shot.

Anyways- There are food stalls in here kapag nagutom ka and this is your way na ubusin mo ang mga coins mo kapag nauuhaw ka dahil sandamukal ang vendo machines dito.

On the other hand, may natikman akong takoyaki dito na medyo na ulul ako ng slight. Napaka sarap!Hanapin nyo na lang dito yun.

This is at KYOTO Arishayama.

When you include this place to your Kyoto Tour, please make a research prior because medyo malayo itong lugar na ito. It took us almost 1 and half hours to reach this place from our hostel via train for one way.

You have to go here early in the morning dahil kapag hapon ka pumunta dito, malaking goodluck sayo at baka hindi ka na makadaan sa sobrang daming pa-bida.

This is at NAGOYA kemene chenelin anatashi kembot.

If there is one place in Japan na lumutang ang alindog ko dito talaga yun sa Nagoya!

This is still at Kyoto Arashiyama bamboo the other side.

 This is at Yamanashi.

If there is really a thing that made me curious to do here in Japan was to try their Onsen.

Onsen is kinda like a hotspring na hubot hubad ka. Nagkalat ang Onsen sa JAPAN and all you need to do is find those places.

This shot was taken outside Onsen in Yamanashi. This is more like a sosyal na Onsen. Unfortunately, because they follow rules here, hindi pwede pumasok ang may tattoo,Too bad mga puhrree na hindi ako nakapag all the way sa loob. Too bad! Ive cried! 💦

To all people who already went to JAPAN you know exactly what this store is all about. Yes?

This is my favorite Don Quijote store.Nagkalat sa buong JAPAN ang store na ito so before leaving you might as well want to shop here dahil napakaraming mabibili dito.

There are branded bags here, make ups, pagkain, toiletries, gadgets, apparels, gluthatione, collagen, jusko may mga kaserola at kawali pa silang tinda dito, ano pa ba pinuputok ng butchi mo dyan? Gow na rin dito.

In my TOKYO blog- I already discussed that UNIQLO here are so cheap!

Despite JAPAN being one of the developed countries in the world. There are people here who still commit suicide for whatever reasons, and it pains me to know that they even have "suicide mountain"

I was waking inside Nagai Park when I saw this old man. This made me kinda emotional that I even cried. While me enjoying my trip here, he was alone and looked sad. Ewan ko ba, Naiyak talaga ako that I wanted to hug him.

One day, We will all be like him. We will only remember memories, and before I end this JAPAN blog- I want to leave you with this quote.

"As you get older, you will understand more and more that its not about how you look like or what you own, its all the person you've become.

Thank you so much Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya and Nagano you are indeed a beauty!

DOMO ARIGATO GOZAIMAS KAMATIS SIBUYAS! 😂
